RewiredMind (The Gaming Site) and WPTonline (The "Gaming" Site) have teamed up to make the 1st Annual RewiredMind Poker Classic. Cue overusage of poker terminology…NOW!

The name of the game is No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em, and players are in with a chance of winning some great prizes. All players who make it to the final table will receive a prize, as well as spot prizes being given out for good play. Up for grabs are copies of the official World Poker Tour videogame for the PlayStation 2 and official World Poker Tour apparel (both provided by 2k Sports). Our overall winner will take away a copy of the game, a limited edition World Poker Tour t-shirt, a limited edition “Dual-Deck” presentation set of COPAG casino-grade cards and a stack of other merchandise and games for the PlayStation 2.

The event – which is free to enter – will take place at the World Poker Tour’s online cardroom, WPTonline.com on Thursday, March 30th, 2006 at 8pm GMT. Registration is open until Wednesday, March 29th, 2006 at 8pm GMT, and players can register to play at http://www.rewiredmind.com/pokerclassic

Ken Barnes, owner of RewiredMind.com said: “As huge poker fans, we’re delighted to have joined up with 2k Sports to promote the official World Poker Tour videogame. Any excuse to play poker is welcome, and we’re sure that a healthy number of gamers will turn out to go ‘all-in’ and take home some fantastic goodies. The opportunity to host the event at the online home of the World Poker Tour is fantastic, and we look forward to hitting the tables with our readers!”
The tournament is open to everyone, although only players from the UK or Republic of Ireland will be eligible to win any of the prizes on offer.

How To Enter
To enter the RewiredMind.com Poker Classic, please visit the RewiredMind.com Poker Classic page at http://www.rewiredmind.com/pokerclassic by 8pm on Wednesday 29th March, 2006.

Remember kids, when gambling with your own money, set a limit and gamble responsibly. Except if it’s a free to enter tourney, in which case go all-in every 3rd hand if you want to. The best hands to play with are A-A, K-K, Q-Q, J-J, 10-10, 9-9, 8-8, A-Q and 7-7. You still have time to get a poker book from Amazon if you need to. Try Phil Hellmuth’s books, they are great. I use them.
