Emma Griffiths (From that MTV Europe thing) is hosting the Golden Joystick Awards. And this time it’s on TV…

The former MTV star began her career as a top-flight model working for Vogue, Marie Claire, Chanel and other big names. Joining MTV in 2002, she quickly became their leading female presenter, hosting music, fashion and celebrity shows across the network. Emma recently presented the “Access All Areas” show on ITV2 for the high-profile Prince’s Trust 30th birthday concert.

Emma will anchor the Golden Joysticks TV show, presenting highlights of the awards event, as well as gaming reports and the biggest happenings from a huge year for the industry.

As Future gears up for the Golden Joystick Awards, which take place this year on Friday 27th October at London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel – the special-interest media company also announces the appointment of communications experts, The Incubator to spearhead its consumer PR campaign for the event.

Founded this year, Incubator founder, Dan Walsh has worked with Future handling PR for its successful Metal Hammer Golden Gods and Classic Rock Awards for the last two years. The team at The Incubator are tasked with promoting the Golden Joystick Awards, liaising with the event’s print, TV and radio partners, and working to widen the coverage of the event at large.

Organiser of The Golden Joystick Awards, James Ashton-Tyler said:

“I’m delighted that Emma Griffiths will be presenting our first Golden Joysticks TV show. Amongst our core audience she is well known from her work for MTV. She’s the perfect host for the TV show as we continue to build the profile of the Golden Joystick Awards and their reach amongst the UK’s growing population of gamers.

“Last year we had almost 200,000 gamers come forward and have their say on their favourite games, and with a high-profile presenter and the recruitment of The Incubator, a young, ambitious PR agency we can continue to take the Golden Joystick Awards forward.”
