This seems like an interesting idea, a foamy tough controller for your Playstation 2 with the NERF brand.
Performance Designed Products, manufacturer of Pelican brand accessories, today announced it will be working with the Hasbro Properties Group, the intellectual property development arm of Hasbro, Inc., to develop a new line of video game accessories based on the well-known Hasbro brand NERF.
Debuting this fall at retailers nationwide, the NERF Wireless Controller from Pelican will be made from soft, durable foam on the outside, and feature Pelican’s innovative Smart Play technology on the inside. The controllers are tough enough to withstand squeezing, throwing, twisting and spiking and feel like no other controller on the market. The NERF Wireless line will be launching initially with the controller for PlayStation 2 at an approximate retail price of $29.99, with other platforms to follow.
“Collaborating with a company the caliber of Hasbro will allow us to merge the well-respected technologies featured in our Pelican accessories line with a well-known brand,” said Chris Richards, CEO of Performance Designed Products. “We are looking forward to continue working together to create some innovative video game peripherals.”
“This is an incredible opportunity to take Hasbro brands into the thriving video game console accessories space,” said Jeff Burdeen, vice president of Digital Media for the Hasbro Properties Group. “The NERF brand embodies fast-paced innovation and extreme fun that fits perfectly within today’s changing gaming lifestyle.”
