Guinness World Records has announced a classic videogame competition in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday April 10th at the Barcade. Only 21 years and older will be allowed, but all is welcome.

Have you ever wanted a world title on one of the classics? Some of history’s most memorable arcade games will be on display as fans of the golden age of gaming attempt new Guinness World Records at Barcade in Brooklyn, NY. Guinness World Records™ celebrates the launch of the inaugural Guinness World Records™: Gamer’s Edition 2008 by offering record attempts in any one of five categories, including Fastest Time to Beat Five Boards on Ms. Pac Man, Fastest Time to Beat Five Boards on Tapper, Highest Out-Run Score, Highest Ghosts ‘n Goblins Score, and Highest Donkey Kong Score Without Using the Hammer. Records will be breakable for gamers of all skill levels, and the public at large is invited to try their hand at the joystick of destiny. The event starts at 7:30 pm on Thursday, April 10th at Barcade (388 Union Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11211). Please bring a 21+ ID to enter Barcade.
