Today, Future Shop announced the midnight availability of two of the most highly sought after video games this season: Gears of War 2 and World of Warcraft: The Wrath of Lich King. Special launch parties will be held for both gaming releases on the evenings of November 6 and 13 respectively.
Expected to outsell the first Gears of War, and match or surpass sales of the Halo series, Gears of War 2 will be available on Thursday, November 6 at 11:59 p.m. at Future Shop’s stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario (except for Sudbury) and Maritimes. Stores in Quebec and Sudbury, ON will open on November 7 at 8:00 a.m. Launch parties will be hosted at select Future Shop locations in Vancouver and Toronto the evening of the release.
One of the most popular games ever for PCs and Macs, World of Warcraft: The Wrath of Lich King will be available on Wednesday, November 12 at 11:59 p.m. at all Future Shop’s stores except in Quebec and Sudbury, ON – stores in this province and city will offer the game on November 13 at 8:00 a.m. All Future Shop stores opening at midnight will be hosting World of Warcraft costume contests and offering great prizing throughout the evening.
