The game – which is a high definition makeover of Serious Sam: The First Encounter – is developed by Croteam and features spectacular graphics that make every severed limb and headless kamikazee look as beautiful as possible.

Serious Sam HD features everyone’s favorite loudmouth – Sam ‘Serious’ Stone – as he frantically battles his way through time to ancient Egypt.  In trying to survive the onslaught of enemies that threaten his every turn, Sam must battle the overwhelming forces of Lord Mental and defeat the Sirian army. Players blast the hordes with one of the greatest arsenals in gaming history that includes wielding demon-stopping revolvers, lead-spewing miniguns, monstrous cannons and the notorious Serious Bomb for when they absolutely, positively, have to kill every enemy in sight. With over 12 levels of pure unadulterated explosive bedlam and up to four player Xbox LIVE action, there will be plenty of opportunity to unlock the sweet, sweet achievements players so badly crave.
