Activision has released a free and final Skyfall mission for owners of the 007 Legends videogame.

Based on the blockbuster film in theaters now – is available to download for free today on PlayStation Network, and November 20th on Xbox LIVE and Steam (PC).

Capping off the first-of-its-kind James Bond video game experience, the SKYFALL mission sends players into the heart of Istanbul to hunt down a brutal assassin. It quickly turns into an epic chase, taking fans on a treacherous pursuit that ends atop a speeding train as a mysterious sniper nearly ends Bond’s life. After overcoming death itself, 007 must track down his target across the world to Shanghai for a final showdown to uncover the truth…

Today marks the 8th anniversary of one of the most popular high-fantasy MMOs ever made, EverQuest II. Praised for its constant evolution, EverQuest II will be adding even more content and features to the game on November 13th with the launch of its ninth expansion, Chains of Eternity.

To give players an idea of what’s to come, SOE has released a video where Producer Holly Longdale and team (Senior Animator Tom Tobey, Senior Artist Tad Ehrlich, Game Designer Carlos Mora and Environment Artist Rick Randolph) walk Norrathians through the new dungeons, including the Egyptian- and Mayan- influenced Temple of the Faceless, Drinal’s Citadel — the home of the god of the afterlife — and Wurmbone Crag where ravenous ratmen run along the ramps and shelters in a deep valley. The video also show off creatures such as the god Drinal himself, from the Chains of Eternity expansion.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released a new Battle Profile gameplay video for Guardians of Middle-earth. The Battle Profile features the father of Thorin Oakenshield, Thrain II, who was exiled from the Lonely Mountain by the dragon Smaug. A powerful warrior, Thrain is able to hold his ground against a great number of foes. Also showcased is Gothmog, a ruthless, confident and fearless lieutenant of the armies of the Witch-king, who has the endurance to fight the enemy and bring their structures to siege under his harsh command.

Disney Interactive releases the fourth in a series of gameplay vignettes in anticipation of the launch of “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.”

Dishonored is a new intellectual property from the developers at Arkane Studios. This is the studio behind the games Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Arx Fatalis, released in 2002, showed the studios depths in being able to create a deep role-playing game. Four years later, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic showed off the studios ability to create a satisfying and engaging combat system. Despite both of these games not breaking through to triple-A status, Arkane Studios has shown they have what it takes to create games with depth and more importantly, games that are enjoyable to play. It’s not hard to see that Dishonored comes from a very competent pedigree but can they elevate it to the next level?

Disney Interactive today announced that a demo of the highly-anticipated “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two” video game is now available for download on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft in North America. In the video game demo, players will adventure as Mickey Mouse and explore the extensive tutorial and early levels of the game including the magical laboratory of the sorcerer, Yen Sid. In addition, players will meet Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s first cartoon star, and experience a few of the fun co-op abilities that will be available in the full game at launch. The adventure will culminate with an exciting sizzle reel that showcases some of the exciting and action-packed elements of the game. “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two” will be available for all major console systems in North American retail stores on November 18th.
