Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Rayman Origins. This time around, it’s an introduction to the new craziness in the game! Rayman Origins is slated for a November 15th release in North America on the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 consoles.

D3Publisher (D3P) today announced Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon (EDF) is currently in development for PC for an anticipated exclusive release via download on Steam this upcoming holiday 2011. This marks the first time players will be able to experience EDF for PC and the game will include all of the downloadable content (DLC) previously released. Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon continues the rich history and hardcore fun of the series and was named “Game of the Month – July 2011”, by Games Radar for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system.
In addition, players will be able to purchase and download four new PC exclusive weapons packs at launch for their armor classes: The Earth Defense Force Battle Armor Weapon Chest, Trooper Special Issue Enforcer Package, Aerialist Munitions Package, and Tactician Advanced Tech Package. Each weapons pack will include ten weapons and feature high powered artillery like the Nilas Cryo Pancake Cycler; a devastating ice mortar that blasts enemies up to 30 meters away, the Rav-Tech Vespoid; a nasty acid shotgun based on Ravager tech, and the Neptanzer Linkjump Cinerus; a short-ranged chain lightning weapon developed for the Jet Armor. Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon will also support Steam Cloud saving and Steam Achievements for PC. Activision released a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 trailer today entitled “The Vet & The n00b”.
Smash Diablo together with your typical tower defense game and – well, there’s probably multiple results out there by now with the proliferation of the genre – but in this case you get Dungeon Defenders, a game that has hooked Android and iPhone gamers for nearly a year until finally making its big screen debut after some delays. The wait has been mostly worth it for those looking for this kind of thing on a console instead of PC for once, though it hits a few snags along the way.
In Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots, Team Rainbow faces a new and very real threat called the “True Patriots,” a highly-trained, well-organized revolutionary group that claim the American government is irrevocably corrupted by greedy politicians and corporate special interests. The True Patriots will do whatever it takes to reclaim their country. Playing as Team Rainbow, players will face critical scenarios that will require them to make tough ethical decisions in order to stop this new breed of terrorists.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land is a return more than just the title implies. Last year’s Kirby’s Epic Yarn was definitely a fun game but the one thing that it wasn’t would be a traditional Kirby game. Gone last year was Kirby trademark ability to suck away enemies and steal its powers. This year, Nintendo has decided to stay a little closer to the original schematic but now including a never before seen 4 player co- op, a first for a Kirby game.
Now is this return to the standard formula a welcome return, or should they have continued trying out new directions for the franchise leaving the past in the past?

Another two year cycle, another Forza Motorsport. What makes things different this time around is Polyphony Digital finally, though extremely belatedly, played its hand with Gran Turismo 5. Fortunately however, Turn 10 Studios didn’t fret much over it and stuck to what they do best, making Forza gorgeous, cutting edge, and accessible to all comers. What they added was some fun touches from a collaboration with Top Gear, a couple hit or miss Kinect features, some minor tweaks to career mode, and a bevy of multiplayer modes that encourage both greater community participation and competition. The fact that they improved the graphics and the physics even further is just icing on the cake.
