LA Noire Box ShotRockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., and Team Bondi Pty. Ltd. are pleased to announce downloadable content plans for the blockbuster crime thriller, L.A. Noire. Several standalone cases, collectibles and challenges will be released in the coming months on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox LIVE online entertainment network.

“With its blend of real crime influences and noir atmosphere, L.A. Noire contains boundless potential for new stories and new cases,” said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. “The four new cases are strong standalone stories that sit perfectly alongside the main game.”

Codemasters has released a new gameplay video for Operation Flashpoint: Red River, the all-new chapter in the multi-million selling tactical shooter series set to launch on June 7th. Dubbed ‘Unfinished Business,’ the new gameplay video features explosive gameplay footage that reveals the intensity of battle as US Marines take on the Chinese PLA in epic open battlefields complete with helicopters, APCs, tanks and airstrikes.

Brink ScreenshotBrink had gotten a lot of hype coming up towards its big release. From it’s impressive trailers that showed off the game’s awesome looking parkour mechanics making it stand out from the crowd. Not only was the parkour gameplay talked about you’ve got the promised SMART system that would make it easy to navigate around the map and to find shortcuts through the game since it’ll automatically scale the obstacles in your way. Now with all this hype promoting it as the next coming of multiplayer does it live up to it’s tremendous hype or does Brink go the same way as Quake Wars and fails to overwhelm.

Warner Bros. Interactive has released a new video featuring the multiplayer mode “Soul Survivor”. Players of this mode will need to either survive as a hero or succeed as a villain. Each mode will begin with Alma—the powerful tortured psychic—choosing one player to be corrupted. Once that player has been chosen, they will be turned into a spectre, with the ability to possess enemies. It will be their goal to corrupt the remaining squad members before time runs out. If a player is corrupted, they “switch teams” and their objectives to win the game will change. Players will need to work together to either escape the corrupted or band together to corrupt the remaining members.

EA and 38 Studios have released new screenshots for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Reckoning is an epic, open-world role-playing game set in Amalur, a mysterious and magical new fantasy world created by New York Times best-selling author R. A. Salvatore. Brought to life visually through the trademark visceral style of renowned artist and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, Reckoning brings a new level of intense action combat to the RPG genre. The game is being developed under the leadership of Ken Rolston, lead designer of the critically acclaimed RPGs Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and is scheduled for release in fall 2011.

We’ve got a new video from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios, unveiling the first DLC for the recently released Mortal Kombat. The first downloadable pack offers gamers a chance to get all of the pre-order content in one set. The collection consists of seven pre-order klassic character skins for Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Mileena, Jade and Kitana and klassic fatalities for Reptile, Scorpion and Sub-Zero. The pack will be available starting June 7th on Microsoft Xbox Live Arcade for 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 on PlayStation Network.

Portal 2 ScreenshotPortal 2 is the sequel to Valve’s massively popular Portal that was packed into the Orange Box with other games like Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life 2. The first Portal wasn’t a full length game lasting about 4 hours but Portal 2 is a fully fledged stand alone title.
