Ahoy, matey! Disney Interactive Studios and TT Games just released a new trailer for LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game will set sail on May 10, 2011 across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, 3DS and PC, just days before the release of the new Walt Disney Pictures movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger’s Tides!

Today Codemasters released a new video for Operation Flashpoint: Red River, the all-new chapter in the multi-million selling tactical shooter series set to launch on 21st April across the EMEA region with North America shipping on 26th April. The ‘Shifting Focus’ video focuses on the narrative behind the game and explains how the Marines must adapt to a rapidly escalating combat situation.

The ‘Shifting Focus’ video shows how the mission for the Marines in Tajikistan turns into a far more dangerous flashpoint than they could have imagined. After initially embarking on a campaign to quell a destabilising insurgency that threatens American interests, they must now take on the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China which seeks to stake its claim as “the preeminent military authority in the region.”

Dragon Age II Released in North America

Leading video game developer BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts Inc., announced today that Dragon Age II is now available at retail stores in North America and will be available in Europe on March 11. Featuring a gripping new storyline, stunning visuals and what PC Gamer magazine has proclaimed to be “the best RPG combat ever,” Dragon Age II has already been hailed as a success by critics around the world. The game has received a 94 percent from PC Gamer magazine (US and UK), a 9/10 from Official Xbox Magazine and a 9/10 from PlayStation: The Official Magazine, which also said, “Fueled by its brains, a likeable cast, and a sprawling storyline, Dragon Age II delivers.”

Mass Effect 2 was released on the Xbox 360 and PC more than a year ago and the game ended up being on many game of the year lists. This had PS3 owners wondering to themselves what all the fuss was about. A Sci-fi RPG-Shooter hybrid didn’t seem that special, but now that the game has been released for the Playstation 3, gamers can see that Mass Effect 2 is one of those special games that you just have to experience for yourself to see the beauty of it. An important, distinguishing factor between this version and the Xbox 360/PC versions is that we get a glimpse of the Mass Effect 3 engine when it is released later this year. This ultimately means an upgrade visually and in terms of gameplay also.

After the franchise went into limbo all it needed was the complete revitalization of the 2d fighter genre for them to actually green light a 3rd game. Once again both the Capcom and Marvel universes are in great danger. The heroes will once come together in tag-teams of 3 characters to fight epic battles.
