Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today unveiled “PlayStation Suite” (PS Suite), delivering the PlayStation experience to Android based portable devices*1. Through this entirely new initiative, users will be able to enjoy PlayStation content on an open operating system for the first time in PlayStation history.

In the dramatically evolving and diversifying mobile market, the number of users who enjoy games casually on a variety of devices including mobile phones, smart-phones and tablet PCs, has been increasing significantly. By offering “PlayStation quality” content to this rapidly growing market, SCE will not only deliver the PlayStation experience to a wider base of users around the globe, but will also be able to offer game developers and publishers the potential to further expand their business opportunities to these devices.

In providing the PlayStation experience on Android based portable devices, SCE will commence a “PlayStation Certified” license program for hardware manufacturers. Through this program, SCE will offer necessary support, including development support as well as logo licensing, to ensure the delivery of PlayStation quality experience across various devices.

Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced the release dates of four multiplatform AAA titles shipping in 2011. Brink, Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, RAGE, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim are all slated for release on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows.

Codemasters today released the first dev diary from the creative team behind Operation Flashpoint: Red River, the all-new chapter in the tactical shooter series set to launch in Q2 2011 on PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Xbox 360.

The video feature includes appearances by executive producer Adam Parsons, creative director Sion Lenton, lead artist Mike Smith and principal game designer Tim Browne discussing the huge game world of Tajikistan, new insurgent enemies, improved gun play mechanics, immersive narrative, the new class-based Fireteam and all the ways the game engine has evolved.

MotoGP 10/11: Release Date, Demo and New Screenshots

Capcom has sent word that MotoGP 10/11 for PlayStation 3 will be arriving at stores across North America on March 15th, 2011. There is also an Xbox 360 version planned, but it was not mentioned in this release, we’ll keep you up to date as to the official release date for the Xbox 360 version.

To get a taste of the action before the launch,Capcom will be giving fans a chance to test ride the game with a downloadable demo available on PSN in February. Push your limits with GP heroes Danny Pedrosa or Andrea Davizioso on the challenging Mugello circuit or against the clock (and your ghost) in Time Trial. As in the full game, players are now able to use the new player assists feature to fully customize their bike and control set up. Matched with all new realistic simulation mechanics, this is the most realistic MotoGP gaming experience to date.

The sequel to my favorite game of 2008 has at long last arrived. Sackboy is back and this time he’s got some new tricks up his sleeve. Now with whole set of new features for you to tinker with to bring the level of your dreams to life. The question begs though is there enough to warrant yet another $60 price tag like you paid two years before for this platformer toolbox or are they going to well too soon with not nearly enough new features.

Critically, they have been good to mediocre with some bad eggs. Now upon us is Naurto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. Its predecessor was one of the franchises better games but that still does not mean an incredible amount. Can this title break through the barrier and become great and is it accessible enough for nonfans?

TRON Evolution was developed by Propaganda Games and published by Disney Interactive Studios. Evolution takes place between the first and second TRON movie and acts as a bridge for the two stories. The game puts players in the place of Anon, a Monitor security program created by Flynn to investigate a conspiracy going on in the world of Tron. Programs with free will called ISOs have started popping up from out of nowhere and are disliked by the normal programs, Basics, causing tension between the two factions. So Flynn created Anon to figure out who killed a popular ISO leader and keep the peace.

Bethesda and iD Software has released new screenshots for the upcoming RAGE game for the PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Xbox 360 platforms. They have also updated the RAGE website with these screenshots as well.

RAGE features intense first-person shooter action, breakneck vehicle combat, an expansive world to explore and jaw-dropping graphics powered by id’s revolutionary id Tech™ 5 technology. Set in the not-too-distant future after an asteroid impacts Earth, you emerge into a vast wasteland to discover humanity working to rebuild itself against such forces as bandit gangs, mutants, and more. From the pioneers of first-person shooter gameplay, RAGE promises an experience like no other.

RAGE is slated for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in North America on September 13, 2011 and across Europe on September 16, 2011.

First Screenshots for Silent Hill 8 Released

KONAMI, today released the first screenshots from the highly anticipated survival horror game, Silent Hill: Downpour. Making its return to “next generation” consoles this fall, Silent Hill: Downpour will bring a completely original storyline, and all-new haunting soundtrack as players find themselves stranded in the foggy, malevolent world of Silent Hill.

Silent Hill: Downpour starts as Murphy Pendleton, the game’s main character, finds himself lost and alone in the woods after his prison transport bus crashes near the town of Silent Hill. What happens after is up to the player as they traverse an all-new Silent Hill environment that is expansive, yet claustrophobic. And though this sleepy town may feel desolate, the player is never truly alone.

Screenshots show highly detailed environments of the new Silent Hill, where seedy pasts and uncertain futures unify to create to a terrifying present. Included within is a sneak preview of the town, as well as two all-new environments: The Diner and The Devil’s Pit.

Silent Hill: Downpour is scheduled to be released in fall 2011 on Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system.
