Conduit 2 – New Weapons Trailer

Sega sends over a new Conduit 2 Trailer featuring some of the incredible weapons players will have at their disposal in the game, including: the Hive Cannon, which shoots a swarm of insects that explode on contact; the Aegis Device, which allows players to use their enemies own ammo ; against them; and the AR-C Eclipse, a gun that can render its user completely invisible.

The game is slated for an exclusive release on the Nintendo Wii on March 22, 2011.

Video Games Live to Debut Halo: Reach

The live touring sensation Video Games Live will be debuting new music from the highly acclaimed Xbox 360 exclusive video game, Halo: Reach. The Award Winning music from the latest game in the Halo series was composed by Marty O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori who have been with the franchise since the beginning. Both Marty and Michael will be in attendance at the Seattle performance of Video Games Live and are available to all ticket holders at the post-show meet & greet for autographs and pictures.

This will mark the first time that the music from Halo: Reach has been performed in front of a live audience. “It’s a real thrill and honor to have our music be a part of such a successful event like Video Games Live.” said Bungie Audio Director Marty O’Donnell, “To know that people around the world are able to experience our music live in such a creative and artistic way is very exciting for both myself and Mike.

Before the release of Dead Rising 2, we got a small taste of it with a standalone release called Case Zero. Initially people thought it was going to be a paid demo but quickly realized it was more and most thoroughly enjoyed it. The biggest absence was cooperative play which eventually came with the main game. Now post-release of the Dead Rising 2, we’re getting Case West. This one is double the price of Case Zero but is it worth the extra dough?

The classic 1992 X-Men arcade game has made its return, this time it’s on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The game was based off a one off X-Men in 1989 that never materialized into a series not in fact on the cartoon that premiered later on that year. The game therefore is a little different from that famous cartoon with fundamental differences like Magneto is controlling the sentinels. This continues tradition set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Golden Axe of bringing back old arcade beat ’em up onto your HD consoles. Now the question is if the arcade game survives 20 years of progress or have we moved past 1992 and it’s faults.

The Dreamcast Collection Announced for Windows PC and Xbox 360

SEGA Europe Ltd. and SEGA of America, Inc. today announced that a packaged compilation of classic titles from SEGA’s popular Dreamcast console will hit retail shelves for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC digital download. The Dreamcast Collection will be available on February 25, 2011, in Europe and February 22 in North America.

The Dreamcast Collection includes the fan favorites Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, SEGA Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5: Part 2. Players will get to enjoy four very different Dreamcast experiences, from hopping behind the steering wheel of Crazy Taxi, to taking things a little slower by luring in their fish before catching them hook, line and sinker with SEGA Bass Fishing. Alternatively, take over as intergalactic news reporter Ulala in Space Channel 5: Part 2 and dance your way past the evil Rhythm Rogues, or make it all about speed in Sonic’s first Dreamcast outing, Sonic Adventure!

SEGA’s Dreamcast Collection features enhanced graphics for both platforms versions, providing an even more engaging experience. In addition to this, achievements and online leader boards will be available on Xbox 360 for each game providing a competitive edge and allowing players to prove their skills!

Just Dance 2 Sells Over 5 Million Units

Today, Ubisoft announced that Just Dance 2 has sold through more than five million units for the Wii system from Nintendo, according to internal estimates. Launched October 12, 2010 in North America and October 14, 2010 in Europe, Middle East and Asia, Just Dance 2 has held a prime spot in the top ten video game sales charts in both the U.S. (NPD) and Europe (GfK Chart Track). Additionally, since the launch of the first Just Dance in November 2009, the brand has spent 45 weeks in the U.K. top ten and has been in the top fifteen list in France for the last 42 weeks, according to GfK Chart Track.

Dead Money is the first piece of downloadable content for Fallout New Vegas. Despite downloadable content existing on the last generation of consoles, it wasn’t until a couple years ago that it really hit mainstream and that was helped significantly by Fallout 3. Bethesda’s proposition was this, $10 for a several hour chunk of content and gamers bought them in droves. Now after the release of New Vegas, it’s now Obsidian’s turn to show if they have the chops to make the quality downloadable content that Bethesda did with Fallout 3.

Cataclysm is the third expansion for Blizzard Entertainment’s immensely popular Massively Multiplayer Online game World of Warcraft. The expansion takes place shortly after The Shattering, an event where the massive dragon Deathwing returns to Azeroth causing massive natural disasters and tearing up many areas across the world. Cataclysm adds 5 new level 80 and higher zones for players to level up to 85 and has redone all of the original level 1 to 60 World of Warcraft content and areas to reflect the changes in the world. Cataclysm also adds 2 new races The Worgen and The Goblins, a new secondary profession Archaeology, and a host of new spells, talents and recipes for the already existing professions.

In late June 2009, the world was in shock when the King of Pop, Michael Jackson passed away. The Pop singer and the most successful entertainer of all time made a huge impact Jackson on the music industry and had millions of fans all across the globe. All we have now are the memories of his performances over the years and all of his albums to enjoy. Can we have a different memento to remember the King of Pop? Ubisoft tries to do just that and attempts to replicate Michael Jackson’s legacy with its latest dancing game for the Wii, Michael Jackson: The Experience. Can this game live on as a tribute or should it just “Beat It”?
