Crazy Taxi – Review (PSN – PlayStation 3)

Back when they started to include real musical soundtracks into CD-Rom-based games in the late 90s’, I had a conversation with a friend on if that was actually a good idea to do so. My friend though it was cool saying that it added more realism to a game; I on the other hand thought that it would make developers lazy, throwing cheesy tracks on to games in lieu of actually crafting an original soundtrack. Another problem that I admittedly didn’t give much thought to at the time is what would happen if, say ten years down the line a publisher wanted to re-release the game in a compilation, how would they re-license the musical tracks?

With Crazy Taxi being re-released for XBLA and PSN…we now have our answer what happens to the beloved sound track.

Marvel Versus Capcom 3 / New Character Screenshots and Gameplay Video

Capcom has announced two more characters for the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds last week. Now you can check out Storm and Crimson Viper battling it out in a whole whack load of screenshots and gameplay trailer for these exciting new warriors.

First we have, Ororo Munroe, who was born with the mutant ability to control weather. She joined the X-Men and became Storm, one of the team’s most reliable members. Other Marvel characters include She-Hulk, Magneto, M.O.D.O.K., Spider-Man, X-23, Dormammu, Thor, Deadpool, Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, Doctor Doom and Super-Skrull.

The Dragon Ball franchise still is one of the most popular animes that has been turned into many different games spread across a variety different platforms. Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 for the PlayStation 3, is developed by Spike and published by Namco Bandai, improves on its predecessor while still adding new additions to create another quality Dragon Ball title. The game, like most Dragon Ball games, is a 3D fighter that allows players to play as characters within the Dragon Ball universe, either against the computer or another player in one of the diverse modes of play both on and offline. With Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2, Spike has attempted to compose an encyclopedic game to a series that spans across over 400 episodes completely catering to hardcore Dragon Ball fans. The question though, is the game great enough to allure those fighting game fans not passionate towards the Dragon Ball sagas?

Ubisoft also announces that Animus Project Update 2.0 will be available in January and also free to download.

Uncharted 3 Drake’s Deception / Reveal Trailer

Microsoft today announced that Kinect Sports Party Pack DLC has been released for free today for Xbox Live Gold members. You get 15 new Party Play events at no cost for Kinect Sports. There will also be a Corvette DLC for Kinect Joy Ride on January 4th.
