Electronic Arts Inc. announced today that the official game demo for EA SPORTS NHL 15 is now available for download worldwide on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. With the demo, you can lace up as either team from the 2014 Stanley Cup Final, the Los Angeles Kings or New York Rangers, and skate under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden and the Staples Center. If you are new to the NHL franchise or just want to work on mastering the Superstar Skill Stick, jump into the demo’s Practice Mode for a free skate against a goalie.

In NHL 15, you will see the most realistic looking and skating hockey players ever in a videogame, along with most detailed and authentic representation of the game of hockey itself. 12 Player NHL Collision Physics and Real Puck Physics capture the hard hitting chaos and unpredictability of the sport, while the Superstar Skill Stick and Vision AI put the flow and finesse of the game in your hands.

Sony has announced that PSN (PlayStation Network) is back online after a massive network attack over the weekend:

The PlayStation Network and Sony Entertainment Network are back online and people can now enjoy the services on their PlayStation devices. The networks were taken offline due to a distributed denial of service attack. We have seen no evidence of any intrusion to the network and no evidence of any unauthorized access to users’ personal information.

In light of today’s issue, the networks will not undergo the regularly scheduled maintenance, which was planned for Monday, August 25. We will provide an update shortly for when the maintenance will be rescheduled.

Disney Interactive is giving Disney Infinity (1.0 Edition) Wii gamers the chance to upgrade their play experience to Wii U free of charge, exclusively through the Nintendo eShop. Starting today, fans who own the Disney Infinity Starter Pack on Wii can download the Wii U version of the game from the Nintendo eShop, complete with multiplayer. The Disney Infinity base and figures are required to play on Wii U once downloaded.

Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, today reveals the characters behind their upcoming RPG launching in the US and Canada for Nintendo Wii U, Alphadia Genesis. The first game in the Alphadia series to hit consoles in North America, the game is rated E10+ by the ESRB, and will be available exclusively on the Wii U eShop.

Today EA SPORTS officially kicked off Madden Season with a humorous ad campaign video featuring Kevin Hart and Dave Franco. The video demonstrates how friends become frenemies during Madden Season, when rivalries heat up and you’ll stop at nothing to get the win.

In addition to Hart and Franco, the spot also features cameos from other up-and-coming celebrities and young athletes including Colin Kaepernick, LeSean McCoy, Dez Bryant, Von Miller and Damian Lillard.
