The first major update for The Elder Scrolls Online is now available to subscribers. Update 1 introduces ESO’s first Adventure Zone, Craglorn, in addition to a host of improvements and fixes.

Craglorn features an intriguing new storyline and challenging gameplay designed especially for groups of Veteran Rank players. You and your allies will take on new quests as you discover the Celestial threat to Tamriel, explore delves where your skills will be put to the test, and even participate in 12-player Trials — a completely new kind of adventure with deadly enemies and fantastic rewards.

Update 1 also brings class and skill updates, animation tweaks and polish, our new death recap system, and much more. For a full list, check out the official patch notes here.

Real names and external storage support are just the beginning for June. With this update, Xbox Live is being improved in a number of ways as we announced last week. You will also be able to take advantage of great new SmartGlass features, including OneGuide and Universal Remote Control, select an account for automatic sign-in, and for Xbox One owners in Canada and Europe, get access to OneGuide and more TV, SmartGlass and voice features.

Easily Increase Games Capacity with External Storage Support
It couldn’t be easier to increase your storage capacity of games and apps with the external storage support features we’re bringing in June. Your Xbox One system will soon support up to two external hard drives at once. Simply plug in your 256 GB or larger USB 3.0 external hard drive and once formatted, copy and move games, apps and game add-ons to increase your storage capacity at home.

This is also a great way to take your content to a friend’s house and get straight into a game directly from an external drive. You’ll need to sign in to Xbox Live if you’ve purchased your content digitally or insert a disc to verify your game ownership when you take your content on the road. The great benefit here is there’s no need to wait to re-download your game and all the DLC. With external storage support in June, you can also choose to copy full games and all of the associated content in one easy step.

Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that Wolfenstein: The New Order, the first-person action-adventure shooter, is now available in North America, Europe and Australia. Wolfenstein: The New Order, a reimagining of the franchise widely credited for helping establish the first-person shooter genre, is available for Xbox One and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment systems from Microsoft, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, and Windows PC.

Developed by MachineGames, a studio comprised of a seasoned group of developers recognized for their work creating critically-acclaimed story-driven games, Wolfenstein: The New Order offers a deep game narrative packed with action, adventure and first-person combat. Set in an alternate version of the 1960s, players take on the role of war hero B.J. Blazkowicz. After awakening from a 14-year coma he discovers that the Nazi’s, armed with a mysterious advanced technology, have won World War II, and now rule the world with an iron fist. Everyone’s favorite little pink ball of puff is back in action after a three year hiatus (two if you count his 20th anniversary collection I suppose). With Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Nintendo continues its tried and tested platforming formula, as it’s been on a roll with 2.5D platformers in the Mario and Donkey Kong franchises as well, but with this exclusive 3DS release Kirby is also going back to his roots over 20 years ago as a handheld game, and that’s something great to see after so much experimentation and ports littering his past portable games.

Lego The Hobbit is the latest game from TT Games. Established in 2005, this developer is best known for marrying the Lego property with popular movies franchises into a videogame package. This started with Star Wars and has weaved through popular franchises like Batman and Harry Potter. Now in the middle of 2014, they are tackling The Hobbit, based upon the films by Peter Jackson. They have already done The Lord of the Rings so this won’t be their first foray into this universe but with all the Lego games, will fatigue have set in?

343 Industries has revealed the official name and approximate release for the next Halo game!

In the past, “Halo” games have pushed the Xbox forward, showcasing the console and its ecosystem in entertaining and innovative ways. Making a “Halo” game that runs at 60 frames per second, on dedicated servers, with the scope, features and scale we’ve been dreaming of for more than a decade, is non-trivial. It’s a task that we, at 343 Industries, are taking very seriously to ensure we deliver the “Halo” game that fans deserve, and a game that is built from the ground up for Xbox One.

“Halo 5: Guardians” is a bigger effort than “Halo 4.” That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what’s now a brand new and more powerful engine. Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we’ve invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One’s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen.

Looks like Tom Clancy’s The Division will be delayed. After showing off some very promising footage from the new game engine called Snowdrop at GDC back in April, it looks like the game has been delayed to 2015. For now, the developer blog post points to some goodies to be shown off at E3 2014.

Today, Ubisoft announced Far Cry 4, an open-world, first-person shooter that delivers the most expansive and immersive Far Cry experience ever. Far Cry 4 will be available November 18 in the Americas and November 20 in the EMEA territories for PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC.

Development on Far Cry 4 is being led by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with Red Storm Entertainment, a Ubisoft studio, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Kiev.

In Far Cry 4, players find themselves in Kyrat, a breathtaking, perilous and wild region of the Himalayas struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king. Using a vast array of weapons, vehicles and animals, players will write their own story across an exotic open-world landscape.

With all the big news about Netflix, Hulu and other video apps not requiring Xbox Live Gold anymore. Many gamers were wondering if they could cancel their Xbox Live Gold membership and get a refund for the unused portion. The answer is yes, but there is a catch: Of course no more free games with the Games with Gold, but any existing games you downloaded will still work for the Xbox 360. Xbox One games will not function after you cancel Xbox Live Gold.

Will I be able to cancel my Gold membership?

Yes. Once the Xbox One and Xbox 360 system updates become available in June, Xbox Live Gold members who purchased a paid membership before that day can cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of any unused remaining days between the date of cancellation and the date their paid Gold membership ends. Cancellation and pro-rata refund requests must be made by August 31, 2014 and require six to eight weeks for processing. Free or trial Gold memberships are not eligible for a refund.
