Capcom Vancouver released a new title update today for “Dead Rising 3” for the new DLC episode, ‘Operation Broken Eagle.’ The update introduces a host of improvements to single-player and co-op gameplay, including a variety of performance and stability upgrades, and fixes for issues related to achievements, UI updates, SmartGlass and more. Additionally, it adds a new impulse trigger feature that notifies players when they are running low on ammo.

Players eager to jump straight into the DLC Episode tomorrow are encouraged to download and install the 14 gigabyte title update today.

Launching on January 21st (today), ‘Operation Broken Eagle’ is the first episode in the “Untold Stories of Los Perdidos” DLC series. This single-player episode puts you in control of Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane on a mission that challenges everything he believes and sets him out to capture the missing President of the United States. ‘Operation Broken Eagle’ will cost $9.99 (USD) and features a new mission, five new weapons, one new combo weapon, one new vehicle, a new clothing outfit, plus additional Gamerscore and the ability to carry experience points back to “Dead Rising 3.”

Since the game launched last November, “Dead Rising 3” players have killed more than 16 billion zombies – more than twice the world population of people – and have logged more than 14 million hours of gameplay. With stats like these, it should be no surprise that “Dead Rising 3” is now the third best-selling Xbox One title and the fifth best-selling title across next-generation platforms.

Zombie-hungry fans looking for a way to play even more “Dead Rising 3” can obtain the “Dead Rising 3” Season Pass, which includes ‘Operation Broken Eagle’ and the three additional upcoming content packs for $29.99 (USD) – a 25% discount compared to purchasing them individually. Each episode will feature new gameplay, playable characters, missions, weapons, and more.

I got to play around with the Early Access Beta, which was meant for Kickerstarter backers. Also unlike many betas, this one is structured more like a demo, only representing a slice of the full release. Only the demo is still a work-in-progress and where the final product might be different from the demo.

Max The Curse of Brotherhood-01
It’s pretty much a tradition that every new console is christened with some kind of platformer. Knack was the PS4’s first crack at it on that system, but Xbox One managed to launch without this gaming staple right out of the gate. Today Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online is coming to Steam. Since its launch, the tactical 3rd person shooter has evolved significantly with the help of its four million registered users. Players contributed their time and feedback to improve and refine the unique gameplay and team experience provided by the game, which allowed Ubisoft Singapore to continue developing Ghost Recon Online to make it the polished game that players now experience. Steam Early Access kicks off today in Canada and the game will be available worldwide this spring.

“Bringing Ghost Recon Online to Steam has been our goal since the game’s inception,” says Corey Facteau, Producer at Ubisoft. “We took the time necessary to reach a quality level that can go head to head with the best online games available today before releasing on Steam. As the top shooter for gamers who enjoy team gameplay, we have also seen our audience expand to include MOBA fans, who comprise fifty percent of our user base. To ensure a seamless transition to the new platform, we will use Early Access to fine tune the Ghost Recon Online experience before releasing it to the rest of the world.”
