I would suggest you start lining up TONIGHT for Saturday.

Beginning Saturday, November 9 until close of business on Monday, November 11, 2013, Future Shop stores across the country are offering free copies on three of this season’s hottest current generation console titles:

Assassin’s Creed IV
Battlefield 4
Call of Duty: Ghosts

Here’s how it works:

Trade ANY one game on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, WiiU, PS Vita or Nintendo 3DS and get a FREE copy of Assassin’s Creed IV, Battlefield 4 or Call of Duty: Ghosts (Xbox 360, PS3 WiiU versions only, excludes next generation consoles – PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Regular $59.99 versions only).

That’s right, bring-in any game title on the present-gen console or handheld and you get one of three of the holiday’s hottest titles for free. Limit one title per customer per day – games must include cases – and no duplicates accepted.

Of course there some legal limitations in some markets. Future Shop stores in Nanaimo, Kelowna, Manitoba, Vaughan and Richmond Hill are excluded due to local trade in laws.

madden nfl 25 logoAs the launch of Madden NFL 25 on next-gen consoles nears, today EA SPORTS released details on how the game will bring the excitement and emotion of Sunday into the game. New info can be found in the just-released “Live It” trailer, and additional details will be posted regularly on the Madden NFL 25 website and Facebook page.

Madden NFL 25 breathes new life into stadiums, as players, crowds and announcers react intelligently and dynamically to the in-game action. Players demonstrate more awareness and emotion than ever before. For instance, when a ball-carrier runs out of bounds after a big play, his teammates standing on the sidelines will encourage him, while in a similar situation, players on the opposing sideline will scatter. Fans also react to big moments in the game. For example, the crowd will stand in anticipation during a long pass downfield or erupt after a game-changing touchdown. Commentary adds additional layers of realism as Jim Nantz and Phil Simms reference past performances, demonstrating awareness of what’s happening in your Madden NFL universe.

Wii Sports Club – Tennis and Bowling Now Available for Download for Wii U

Posted By Justin Lee On November 7, 2013 at 7:39 pm Comments Off on Wii Sports Club – Tennis and Bowling Now Available for Download for Wii U

The five beloved sports from the original Wii Sports game – bowling, tennis, baseball, boxing and golf – are making a dramatic and competitive return on Wii U. Starting today, two of the five sports – tennis and bowling – are now available in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U.

The sports are being released individually as downloads in the Nintendo eShop, and feature HD graphics, enhanced controls via Wii MotionPlus technology, as well as a much-requested online multiplayer versus mode, so users with broadband Internet access can face off against friends and family members online. Players can choose to associate themselves with various provincial or regional clubs and can send messages to one another via Miiverse. People can play casually against members of their own club, or take on members of rival clubs to increase their club rankings.

Wii U owners who download Wii Sports Club will get a free trial pass that will let them play any available sports for a 24-hour period from when the Wii Sports Club game is started. Once the trial period ends, players can purchase two types of passes exclusively available in the Nintendo eShop: a Day Pass for $1.99 to play all available sports for a 24-hour period, or a Club Pass to gain permanent access to individual sports for $9.99 each.

NBA2K14_LogoCheck out 2K’s all-new Eco-Motion Engine for NBA 2K14, a game completely re-engineered from the ground up to harness the power of next gen.

With Eco-Motion, the entire NBA experience comes to life in ways never before seen in a video game. Gone are the days of pre-canned animations that must play out exactly as they were mo-capped. Now, in-game players adjust their movements based on the environment around them. Jumpshots will change midair, dribble moves will alter in between dribbles, and players will land in a unique way following every thunderous dunk or block.

Thanks to the Eco-Motion Engine, no two animations in NBA 2K14 will ever appear exactly the same.

NBA 2K14 for next gen consoles are due out on launch day: PlayStation 4, November 15, 2013 and for Xbox One
on November 22, 2013.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD Review – Xbox 360 XBLA (Also on PlayStation 3)

Posted By Eric Kelly On November 7, 2013 at 6:44 pm Comments Off on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD Review – Xbox 360 XBLA (Also on PlayStation 3)

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate ScreenshotsCastlevania: Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate released originally back on the 3DS seven months ago and was billed as an ‘interquel’ with the setting taking place chronologically between Lords of Shadow and its upcoming sequel Lords of Shadow 2. The Lords of Shadow trilogy itself is a wild departure from the traditional and Japanese developed games of the series’ past. The game was made by a Western developer and it opted more for a Narrative driven experience and the gameplay was more brawler oriented. This game however decided to try its hand at emulating the Metroid”vania” gameplay that had dominated the series for a long time, seeing as the scope of the console version did not best fit the 3DS format. And now we have an HD version on consoles and eventually the PC, so no one can be left out. Perhaps this game is a tale best left ignored.
