Today, Ubisoft announces that Rocksmith 2014 Edition, the fastest way to learn guitar*, is now available at retail throughout North America. Rocksmith 2014 Edition is the sequel to 2011’s immensely popular Rocksmith, which taught over 1.5 million players how to play the guitar by enabling players to plug any real guitar or bass with a standard ¼” jack directly into their Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the Sony PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, PC or Mac. Rocksmith 2014 Edition includes new features, new modes, optimized tracking and responsiveness, a completely redesigned interface, new techniques and tunings, and much more. Aspiring guitarists can now learn to play guitar in just 60 days with Rocksmith 2014 Edition.

Exclusively in Rocksmith 2014 Edition is the revolutionary Session Mode, a new technology developed in San Francisco that allows up to two users to play guitar alongside a virtual band that follows their every lead in real-time. Players choose the style of music and from over 70 instruments they’d like to play with, and on-screen prompts help the player learn how to improvise and jam live with a band.

Core to the Rocksmith learning experience is the new Instant Riff Repeater which lets players choose the difficulty, speed and section of each track they play, helping them focus on the particular sections that they struggle with the most. Players are now in full control of their learning pace and can master every part of the songs they want to learn.

Lost Planet 3 - Screenshot 5In 2007, an original intellectual property named Lost Planet cracked onto the scene and won quite a few gamers over. It was an attempt by Capcom to appeal to the Western audience and it worked well. Despite not getting the best scores in reviews, most agreed it was the start of a promising franchise. Kinect’s Beat Booster launches for PC w/motion control capabilities

Posted By Justin Lee On October 18, 2013 at 10:31 pm Comments Off on Kinect’s Beat Booster launches for PC w/motion control capabilities

Extreme Reality, the only company to bring full-body motion analysis and control via a device’s native or peripheral camera, and interactive game developer studio Current Circus, today announced the re-launch of the racing game Beat Booster. The game, originally developed for exclusive use with leading motion gaming platforms, now enables players to enjoy the same full-body motion controlled experience on any Windows 8 device. Using nothing more than a device’s native camera or webcam, players no longer have to own a gaming console to enjoy the game’s motionized experience.

“Integrating Extreme Reality’s SDK gave us the ability to open Beat Booster to a new audience of non-console users,” said Yossi Landesrocha, the CEO and Creative Director of Current Circus. “ Now the game can be easily downloaded and played on the devices people already own, such as their laptops or tablets.”

Beat Booster is fast-paced racing game where players use full-body motion to control the avatar as they steer through exotic environments, pickup energetic power and navigate through 15 racing tracks that feature volcanoes, canyons, tropical forests and dark caves. Without relying on a traditional, hand-held controller, players are launched into an adrenaline-pumping aerial course filled with stimulating obstacles and challenges as they fight off opponents with sonic weapons and collect much-needed energy along the way to boost ahead of the pack.
