Microsoft Reveals More Xbox One Used Game and Game Licensing Info

Posted By Justin Lee On June 7, 2013 at 11:06 am Comments Off on Microsoft Reveals More Xbox One Used Game and Game Licensing Info

Xbox One Console Kinect and ControllerMicrosoft Updated on their Xbox News site a huge amount of information on how Xbox One used games and game licensing will work across consoles.

– Games will be stored on the cloud. We hope not all games will be stored on the cloud, many gamers have bandwidth limits on their high speed internet and local storage is always faster.

– While logged into any Xbox One with your own gamertag, you can access your games you purchased on any Xbox One. Of course an online connection is required to login and download the game to the Xbox One if not already installed.

– Any games on your OWN console will not require a login for guests of the house to play.

– You can setup up to 10 Gamertags (“Family Members”) on your HOME console, ONE Family Member may log into other Xbox One’s to play your entire library of games at a given time.

– It is up to publishers to decide if “used game” license transfer is allowed. Since discs are mass produced, sounds like there will be a key card sold with every game that allows this.

– Giving Games to Friends. This one is a little murky: It’s up to the publishers just like the “used game” license transfer, however it says that it can only be given once.

There will be more information during the Microsoft E3 2013 Press Conference for sure on Monday June 10th at 9:30AM. Watch it live on your Xbox 360 (just make sure you disconnect your Kinect) or on http://Xbox.com.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows – Donatello Trailer Released

Posted By Justin Lee On June 5, 2013 at 3:36 pm Comments Off on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows – Donatello Trailer Released

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows logo
As Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows prepares to launch this summer for Xbox LIVE Arcade, the PlayStation Network, and PC via Steam, Activision Publishing, Inc. and Red Fly Studio are shining a light on each of the varied personas that make up this formidable team of heroes in a half-shell. Today’s trailer goes behind the purple bandana and the brains of the operation: Donatello.

Like his younger brother, Michelangelo, Donatello isn’t particularly aggressive. More scholarly and contemplative than his Turtle brethren, Donnie prefers to think problems through rationally, looking for solutions that avoid unnecessary fighting.

Donatello is slower than his brothers on the battlefield – but also far more methodical. Donnie is a thinker, even in combat, with a knack for analyzing situations quickly, giving him the largest window for counters. The long reach of his heavy bo staff makes him adept at sweeping up multiple enemies with each swing, generating considerable knockdown strength that bowls enemies over.

Ever the engineer, Donatello’s tireless tinkering in his workshop allows him to produce some game-changing weapon upgrades unique to each Turtle. His own design – the Gravity Gauntlet – lets him bend the laws of science and send enemies skyward. Donnie’s technical prowess also affords him the ability him to hack computers and security systems – perfect for when Raph and Mikey’s “smash everything” approach to troubleshooting falls short.

Soul Sacrifice Review – PS Vita

Soul Sacrifice Vita 06Ever since Capcom decided to pass up the Vita in favor of the 3DS for its next release of the Japanese Action RPG megahit, Monster Hunter, people have been wondering how Sony would respond. And when Keiji Inafune, co-designer of Mega Man, left his position as Capcom’s Global Head of Production, many in the industry speculated about what his next move would be. In Soul Sacrifice for the Playstation Vita we have the final product of these two seemingly disparate events. The question is whether it will be enough to catch the eye of diehard fans of the genre who are a significant part of the market in Japan, and if it helps to fill the continuing gap of unique, standout AAA exclusives in the Vita’s library to appeal to the mass market in general.
