Today, Ubisoft announces the launch of The Redemption, the third and last episode in the three-part Assassin’s Creed III – The Tyranny of King Washington downloadable content series, on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system and Windows PCs. This episode will be available for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system starting tomorrow, April 24.

Ratonhnhaké:ton’s journey concludes in the third and final episode, The Redemption, taking gamers to New York to discover the power of the bear, allowing them to strike their foes with unimaginable strength. Our hero will call upon all of the abilities tied to his native heritage in order to break into the monarch fortress and put an end to the tyranny of King Washington.

Splinter Cell Blacklist Wii U Features Trailer

Ubisoft has released a new Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist Wii U video. The latest video highlights how the Wii U GamePad controller replicates Sam Fisher’s OpSat, allowing players to operate gadgets such as tri-rotor drones, the sticky cam and much more.

Showcasing enhanced gameplay features using the Wii U GamePad controller, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist allow players to operate innovative gadgets, execute Killing in Motion efficiently to take out enemies and move through the environment, and intuitively switch between weapons, among other features. The GamePad touch screen along with motion-based inputs is sure to immerse fans and gamers alike in this thrilling modern-day adventure.

3DS_Luigi MansionDM_0124_02While Nintendo’s penchant for going back to the well of tried and true franchises has worn thin for many a gamer, it’s hard to fault their decision in bringing Luigi back to the forefront – to the point of declaring it the “Year of Luigi” even. In this case, we revisit the neglected green plumber’s lone starring role in a sequel to his 2001 GameCube title, Luigi’s Mansion. The 3DS version, subtitled Dark Moon, is obviously trying to reclaim the magic of its predecessor, which incidentally managed to be the most successful title on a relatively disappointing system. It’s hard to argue that they haven’t, but while it overcomes some of the shortcomings of the original, there’s still some flaws that linger and serve to keep Luigi in his brother’s shadow as far as gaming perfection is concerned.

In a new Nintendo Direct video announcement today, Nintendo revealed another massive list of news for its Nintendo 3DS and Wii U systems. Topping the list for many gamers is an entirely new Nintendo 3DS game in The Legend of Zelda series set in the world of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The game is scheduled to launch this holiday season. Fans will also be excited to hear that a new game in the Yoshi’s Island series is also being developed for Nintendo 3DS. And, after 20 years, EarthBound is finally returning to North America. The game is scheduled to be released this year on the Virtual Console service for the Wii U home console.

“Nintendo 3DS and Wii U continue to evolve into some of the best bets in gaming,” said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. “We’ve had an incredible 2013 so far with titles such as Fire Emblem Awakening and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and the rest of 2013 and beyond is even better.”

· You Are Not Dreaming – This is Real: Nintendo fans rejoice: EarthBound is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console this year. The original game was created by Shigesato Itoi and released on Super NES in 1995.

· New Super Luigi U: Wii U owners who purchase this downloadable content for New Super Mario Bros. U (a copy of the game is required) will get 82 updated stages and a new adventure featuring Luigi, who can jump higher than Mario, yet has trouble stopping after a dash. Many stages start with only 100 seconds on the timer, and quicker stages are populated with many obstacles. New Super Luigi U is scheduled to be released this summer during the Year of Luigi.
